Community Hall Samples

Newbury Hall
Site: Newbury, Palmerston North
Wastewater Volume: 6300 litres per function
Wastewater Design:

When the Newbury Hall was shifted across the road next to the Newbury School, it required a new effluent system. To avoid using too much land for effluent disposal, I designed a timer controlled LPED dosing system which held the peak flow in a 'Uniclear' 25,000 litre septic tank fitted with an OSI pump vault which slowly dosed the filtered effluent into a 100 square metre disposal area at a rate the ground could absorb and treat.

Flemington Hall (1998)
Site: Flemington Community Hall and School in Central Hawkes Bay
Wastewater Volume:

Hall      5000 litres per function
School  3500 litres per day

Wastewater Design:

The lack of a disposal area within the hall and school grounds required a full sewage to clearwater sewage treatment system. I was appointed Project Manager by the Ministry of Education to undertake all work related to this project. Designed and obtained Regional Council consent for sewage treatment and discharge of effluent to constructed wetlands.
