Dave Miller, an experienced environmental engineer, is one of New Zealandâs leading independent authorities on septic tank and sewage treatment systems
With over 40 years of hands-on and technical experience, Dave has seen it all â from aging tanks on coastal sites to brand-new lifestyle blocks with complex soil and septic system challenges.
Dave has pioneered new and innovative sewage treatment technology to cover the multiple sewage system failures that began occurring in the 1990s - 2000s as sewage systems installed in the 80s and 90s failed en masse. He has imported revolutionary sewage system treatment technology from USA and designed and manufactured a new range of treatment systems specifically for this technology which surpassed the crude treatment systems that existed in NZ at the time. Dave has also presented papers at National Conferences on this new technology and how it could prevent the systemic sewage system failures being experienced and remedy the current system where possible.
From schools and marae to tourism ventures, rural factories, and small subdivisions, Dave has designed systems for all sorts of challenging sites â experience that continues to inform the practical, effective advice he offers today.
